WHO
ARCHITYPE Gallery was founded by Charlotte Knoop Stengel and Dena Eilers Wilson. The pair combines educational and
professional experience in architecture and medicine to create distinctive designs in leather.

WHAT
ARCHITYPE Gallery is a locally owned and operated design house, specializing in leather bags and accessories. Our designs merge Form and Function to create products that are both beautiful and useful. We draw inspiration from architecture, science, history, and all aspects of culture, using rich and vibrantly colored leather to create a signature look.

WHEN
ARCHITYPE Gallery opened its doors in April of 2008. Regular
business hours are Wednesday through Saturday 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and by appointment. Be sure to visit us on the final Friday of each month during the Frankfort Avenue Trolley Hop (F.A.T.), when we feature new designs and extend our hours for the festivities.

WHERE
ARCHITYPE Gallery is located at 1764 Frankfort Avenue in Louisville Kentucky. We are proud to be a part of one of Louisville’s most up and coming neighborhoods and are members of the Frankfort Avenue Business Association and Greater Louisville Inc. Our products can also be found at 21C Museum Hotel on Main Street in Greater Downtown Louisville.

WHY
ARCHITYPE Gallery strives to uphold the principles of sustainability and responsible manufacturing to create a prosperous business that also benefits the environment and local economy. Leather is a renewable, durable, and biodegradable resource. We use quality leathers from the USA, and recycle end-lots that may be discarded as waste from large projects. Some of our designs use local bison leather. We employ regional artisans to handcraft our designs.
